Getting very hard to find a flatmate...

Long story short, I listed the room a couple of months ago and found a great couple who now due to a terrible chain of events have to move back to England.

This leaves me in the awkward position of trying to refill the room. So here is my spill from Trademe if anyone knows someone or something...

3 bedroom house with 1 bathroom.

Living in a house in Thordon/Wadestown Wellington. Takes me 10 minutes to walk into town so nice and close.

? Flat includes: 42" top end LCD TV Top quality

? 5.1 home theatre surround sound system

? 20ish TB (and growing weekly) of media (movies, music, TV shows etc)

? Secure and stable fast home network via wireless n or cable (run it yourself)
(18mb/s download 1mb/s upload & an unlimited second connection)

? Possible Sky TV (although my movies/TV collection should keep you going forever)

The bedroom is huge, easily fit queen bed + large desk + full chest of draws + table + couch. There is also a large built in wardrobe

Apart from that we have a lovely living room with a nice open fire and my home theatre setup which you will have dominate use over as I never use it. A bathroom with a bath and a kitchen.

POWER + INTERNET + FLAT EXPENSES ARE COVERED IN THE RENT!

You get this whole package for a very low $195 ($240 for couples) a week. (Negotiable) Only two weeks for bond upfront and that's it!

Trademe seems to have stripped all the formatting out of my add... No idea why, but see here for photos http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=392917207&ed=true

Privoxy:

Just a suggestion, but you may want to take some photos during the day when there is lots of light, and clean up the room. Also a photo of what the outside looks like. Presentation sells and you don't want it to look like a student flat.

Yea was hard to get the photos of her room, with it in that state... Will try and get new photos during the weekend (Is dark when I leave for work, and dark when I get home)

I think the main problem is that the room has been re-listed so soon after I took it down. People are either assuming its already been taken or there is something really wrong with the flat... :S

When I first put it up, I had easily 30 people contact me in the first couple of days, since re-listing it a couple of weeks ago iv had maybe 4 people.

Take new photos and change the "first" photo on Trade Me to your best new photo. That should get their attention.

Cheers for the tip,

Think I will take the listing down on Friday night, take new photos on Saturday and relist it Saturday morning.

Still... ...If anyone knows anyone!

Its been a crazy last couple of days since re-listing it.

Found the perfect chick to move in, she was all keen and good to go, so I sent out a text apologizing to everyone else and she then backed out.

Bitch.

So second round of viewings tonight...

Wtf! What a cow O_O.

Oh well, wait till someones in then let the others know - we had similar problems when renting out a property we used to have. We had 2 lots back out before finally getting someone in.

Good luck finding someone though - sounds like a fun place to be!

Was just a bit frustrating, the couple that where there have left now so I am paying double rent at the moment so not ideal...

Main reason I took this chick was she could move so soon when most other people were still 3 weeks off moving.

So if anyone needs a place within a couple of days ...I know somewhere...
