If you just want analogue and no mic in that price range I highly recommend Behringer HPS5000 (or whatever 5000). Does not feel like high end plastic, but unbelievable bass and I use it for mixing amateur studio recordings instead of paying $300 for Audio Technica (which feels solid but flat frequency response does not sound good for everyday use).

You can never have enough Volvos!
