So we are renovating for the next few months and not living in our house so don't need internet and phone. I. E. It's a waste of 100 bucks pm.

I rang or web chatted (can't remember which) with someone from orcon and they said I can't place the account/internet on hold without breaking my term.

Is this right? Anyone got any experience here? Is there really not an option to pause my internet connection? I'm totes happy to stay with orcon and have my mobile there too which I want to keep active. Just would be cool to not pay for something I'm not using.

Any thoughts gz?

Orcon still need to pay Chorus / Wholesale provider for the line and I would say that is why. I am aware of no ISP that would do this

Also, a hundred bucks when you are extensively renovating surely wouldn't be noticed😃

Except if the break fee is $200 and the renovation takes 2 more months than it should have :P

If i were you, i'd just drop to a cheaper plan.

Highly likely having a Internet service onsite will be useful for something. be it for looking up a quick something or simply streaming music..
