Gidday,

I have been getting strange black flickers in my freeview signal from sugarloaf. It is semi regular, and is generaly two in a row for a fraction of a second each. Anyone else getting it? It isn't my TV as it occurs in recorded data as well. It may very well be my HTPC, but thought I would cover my bases.

I'm in Christchurch too, but I haven't encountered this problem. Will keep an eye out though.

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't show up on analogue but is on all dvbt channels for me. Might be my tv tuner card. Might have to unrack everything. -sighs-

I haven't noticed it either - I regularly record from One, TV2 & TV3 on my HTPC, I'm in the CBD and have line of sight to Sugarloaf. Have you noticed if it's any specific channels or all of them? What exactly are the black flickers that you're seeing, is it a black frame in between normal frames?

It is on all channels and is like a signal dropout that happens a couple of times then stops. Almost like a bad cable connection (though I have checked all of those). It just started out of the blue - no changes had been made to equipment, cabling or software configs. Has me beat.
