Using Magic TV as a standard Freeview Receiver and Recorder but having reception issues.
How do we check if both tuners are going?
Do we need 100% signal strength.

What we have is around 75% signal with signal quaility mostly showing 100%
But get bad pixellation every 5 or so minutes.

Running two antenna Hills UHF and seperate VHF combined through a Kingray masthead amp.
Picture on Prime analogue is perfect but via Magic getting pixellated.

I have similar signal strength and quality numbers as you with my Magic TV and have no problems. High signal strength has been an issue with the magic tv as well as receiving VHF signal so if you can connect only the UHF aerial to the masthead amp and try, and also try without the amp at all and see if either of these things helps. Another thing that may help is the use of a second diplexer (signal combiner/splitter) at the tv end to separate the VHF and UHF signals.

I had the too strong a signal problem.
Another diplexer is an expensive solution
A -24db signal attenuator weakens the signal and fixed mine
Downside is any other devices connected to the aerial after Magic with attenuator will suffer poorer reception
Could probably be fixed by splitting the aerial signal rather than passing it through Magic
Let us know how you go
