HDVB-8605 work in NZ?

Hi I was wonder if the HDVB-8605 would work in new zealand. I know its been tested from 250mhz to 850mhz but I don't know if it goes higher or lower though. It's also based on the MSD7828 chip if that means any think to you. Also would the epg work as well sence the epg is different here. Im not sure if any one would know but its worth a try lol

Don't quote me on this, but I think it should at least work since it seems to support DVB-T, h.264 and HE-AAC which are the baseline requirements for viewing our Freeview terrestrial ("Freeview|HD") channels.

Also would the epg work as well sence the epg is different here. Im not sure if any one would know but its worth a try lol

I don't think so. There is no mention of MHEG 5 which is the standard used for the 7 day EPG for Freeview|HD. You would probably get now/next information though from the EIT.

One other point that might be worth mentioning: it is unclear whether AC3 is supported. According to this:
"Dolby AC-3/AC3+(optional)"
