Hi Guys,

I've been a 2degrees VDSL customer for almost a year now and I'm wondering if it's normal for a naked VDSL connection to renegotiate every 1 - 3 days?

I'm using the supplied Fritzbox 7560 firmware v7.12.

An additional question, with the fritzbox should I be using my 2degree broadband login or the supplied SNAP generic account (snap-factory) in the fritzbox.

The error count seems quite bad in the middle of the week but for some reason clears up.

That's a hard one. your in the ballpark of annoying, but totally acceptable (unless say, the speed also dropped noticeably or the phone has started making noises)

I assume you already have a master filter / splitter or it's a dedicated circuit from the ETP to where the modem is? Are you sure it's not weather related where water is getting into your line and causing interference?

Thanks for the replies.

No issues with the speeds, it pretty much reconnects at the same speed every time. we are on a naked plan so no phone service, I'll see if i can dig up an old phone to plug in to the wall jack and see if i can hear anything.

We are in a rental so I'm not sure if a master filter has been installed, where would i look to check? open up phone jack that has the M printed on it?

I'm not sure that weather seems to have an impact on the connection, wouldn't it mess with the line speed as well as disconnections?

Looks like i'm now seeing a reduction in speed. Time to give 2 degrees a call.

that's still quite minimal. it's quite clear ddDLM is adjusting in the wee hours

that quite likely would be on the basis that your dropping sync spontaneously so often in the day time though rather than an indication of a fault (sorry for leading you down that goose chase)
