Anyone else noticing some pretty bad AU latency and packet dropping tonight? Not a gamer or anything, but also noticing latency and what appear to be some packet dropping to some servers I've got over there.

I am seeing it across a few connections:

Some services are currently worse than others - really noticing it to some Linode Sydney hosts I've got!

Edit before @hio77 chimes in. At-least still better than Spark ;)

Hiya @michaelmurfy

I checked my Grafana and smokeping server here at home, I'm also seeing it.

Pinging my Sydney AWS S3 bucket URL seems fine, 37 - 45ms.

Yep seems pretty much back to normal for me.

Not used to @NickMack being on the customer end of the stick these days!

I'm seeing much the same on traffic that transverses 2D's network.

I'm noticing this also to ap-southeast-2 (10 day graph):

Seems to also happen rather consistently. My network has been rather quiet also.

Happening again tonight, Definitely a consistent issue over the last two or so weeks. @2degreescare - Any comments?

Getting some buffering on twitch which is annoying. Could be 2 degrees or twitch I guess.

Does this issue look to have sorted it self out yet? Contemplating moving to 2D but play a lot of games hosted in Aus and abroad.

This makes sense, I've seen the same for Twitch streaming as well. Only some nights, different times then goes away on its own. Usually just find something else to do when it happens so not bothered to ring in about it.

Last lot would've happened within 5 mins of this comment being posted.

The extra 30ms latency spike is 1/10th of the time it takes to blink, according to Google. 30ms should make little difference to gaming.
