There is an upcoming free event on Channel 9 which will provide a bunch of good info to help you take the 70-533: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions exam.

I'm sure that when the sessions/times are announced, they wont work well for us here in NZ, but the sessions will all be recorded and you will be able to watch offline post-event.

There is a still a good reason to sign up for this, even if you don't plan to do the event live, as follows:
* Register through Microsoft Virtual Academy to receive reminder mails for this event and to obtain details for receiving a voucher for 50 percent off the exam price if taken by January 31st.

EDIT: adding ch9 URL: http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/Microsoft-Azure/Level-Up-Azure-IaaS-for-IT-Pros

Interesting, but who's going to watch four solid days of video?!

Thanks Regs, looks good.

Quite good timing for NZ, 6am to 10am for the live event.

Probably someone who doesn't want to pay the money for a 3-day or 5-day in-person course at Ace or Auldhouse.  (which are very similarly priced to the AWS courses offered by Bespoke)

There are also plenty of other resources available including the following:

* Exam Homepage: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-533.aspx
* Microsoft Virtual Academy : http://aka.ms/mvaazure
* Azure Readiness: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8396
* Azure Training Kit: https://github.com/WindowsAzure-TrainingKit/

Yeah those AWS courses are expensive. I just read the AWS extensive and easily accessible documentation, passed with a very high mark that way. Does Azure have a centralised and easy documentation repository the way AWS and Google has?

That's a good start, but it seems they have a LOT of catching up to do.
