Looking for an IT professional to setup our inhouse server running Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003, for iphone push.

Sorry! Auckland, central city. Our usual IT support suggested a $500 fee + $35 monthly subscription per user cost for an offsite solution.

That was not the droid I was looking for.

Is this an SBS Premium server with ISA, and are you accessing OWA remotely already?

Depending on your router, this should take a a hour if your current IT person has not had a hack at it and changed all the settings in a attempt to get it working.

But I've had the rare botched installs take up to 3 hours because of various problems and the patch levels of the server needing to be updated etc.

You don't need a offsite solution, it's a bizzare quote as the software is all built into SBS, unless he was talking about Blackberry syncing.

We can do the work if you PM me. Any IT worth his salt can set it up, as it's simply getting ActiveSync working.

That was not the droid I was looking for.

No problem. I would have quoted three hours to do the work, with an extra hour for contingency. This would include initial server checks, documenting requirements, implementing the changes, rebooting server, documenting the setup process, and testing. If you don't have a 3rd party SSL certificate, I would highly recommend it (in fact, I'd probably insist on it) as it prevents any future issues with unsupported (i.e. non- Microsoft devices) and that would cost no more than $500 for 3 years (need to re-check current prices)
