have a stock VFNZ S3 no mods that updated to JB 4.1.1 on Tuesday 18 December and today I now can't choose WiFi Frequency Band.  As I use 5 GHz at work  looks like I am stuck on that as can't see 2.4 GHZ AP at home or any neighbouring 2.4 GHz WLANs I'd normally see  - any ideas?

I remember reading something about this on XDA, the outcome was dependent on how you had it set up prior to updating, if you had both it carried through but if you had it set to one or the other post update that was all you were left with. Might pay to have a google around there

try this link, someone has developed an app to work around this.

It's pretty basic, but seems to do the job required.

Thanks for the XDA link  but not wanting to root Phone.  Did a factory reset and while there is still no option to select WLAN freq Bands  it seems to have reset it to Auto  as I can now get on 2.4 GHz at home and 5 GHz at work.
