I have a Huawei G300 and today I did a firmware update that made me back up everything first.  To my knowledge I backed everything up just fine (I saw all the separate boxes being ticked as it backed up everything) but once the update finished and restarted all my personal things had gone - apps, contact details, photos, etc.  Is there any way of getting these back?  Is there something extra I need to do?

Thanks,
Christine

On your home screen, there should be an app called All Backup.  Use the restore function from it

Darn it says "no back up files found" so I must have stuffed up the back up. Darn, darn, darn! This is what happens when you don't know what you're doing! The only thing I have managed to find on the phone is my contacts and even photos next to those contacts that I took with this phone but I guess they are on my SD card.

Is there a folder called Huawei Backup on your sd card?

Sounds like you have only backed up your phone data and not your apps+data, settings, photos etc

Whew - all sorted now! It was trying to find back ups files on my internal storage so I switched it to SD card and then did the All Backup like you said and everything is back. Thanks so much for your help.
