I'm trying to get VoLTE working on a Sony Xperia 10 III which isn't officially supported by any NZ carriers. One possible barrier is an IMS APN.

If you have VoLTE working on an Android device can you please post a screenshot of the IMS APN settings or comment if you don't have an IMS APN. I've got Samsung 2degrees settings but keen to compare differences between operators and device manufacturers so any and all are welcome.

Thanks!

Hi Scott, I have a Redmi Note 10 that is not officially supported on Voda for VoLTE, however after telling it not to check for VoLTE validity with the carrier it works, and works very well. The only APN settings are those propogated by the SIM/Network (ie I put none in) and they are the General APN of "internet" and the MMS one of "live.vodafone.com"

Somehow think that does not help you.

Cheers Cyril

Xiaomi Poco F3 yes to VoLTE no for VoWiFi(tested with all of our big 3 carriers)

No settings/MBN to config here(also running the wrong ROM to expose it) it just works with one secret phone code check.

Yeah this is pretty standard on all Xiaomi phones.

2degrees VoLTE and VoWiFi on Oppo but not on Huawei.

The OPPO does not show any new APN besides Internet and MMS though.

Hi Scott,

Samsung S10+ on Spark

MMSC: http://lsmmsc.xtra.co.nz

MMS proxy: 210.55.11.73

MMS port: 80

MCC: 530

MNC: 05

Authentication type: PAP

APN type: default,dun,supl,hipri,mms,email,rcs

APN protocol: IPv4

There are other settings but these are the ones which seem to have details you probably need.

Hope this helps

Thanks team, seems IMS APN isn't required. Unless it is some sort of hidden APN but then I wouldn't expect your "unsupported" phones would work.

Hi Scott,

I'd be interested in what information you collate. I'm hoping to get the Xperia 10iii before too long. Jolla have announced they'll be supporting the 10iii with Sailfish and also introducing VoLTE onto the Sailfish platform. I'm keen to give it a try but suspect I'll need to manually configure it.

Cheers.

I could be interested. There's a couple of glitches with the XA2 which I hope will be fix with the 10iii. I was waiting to see if they're sorted before pulling the pin.

VoWiFi working on a Xiaomi device? Are you absolutely sure it's actually working(and it's provisioned and available)?

Haven't tried making calls but both VoLTE & VoWiFi logos do appear.
