Sorry if this is not the right forum.but wasn't sure where to post. We have just bought a Acer A210 Wifi Tablet which have been running through a Samsung Galaxy Mini running on a vodafone or a LGP500 running on 2degrees.

When  using the Samsung the internet browser works fine and I can access all webpages but if I use the LG Trademe me partially loads and then freezes. All other websites load satisfactory.

I have tried swapping sims between phones and get the same result so this leads me to conclude that it is a  phone settings issue.

The only thing i have been able to ascertain is that when I tether the laptop to the LG trademe will load but the adds on the page won't load owing to an error with double click. Accepting cookies is enabled on all devices. I also have AVG antivirus on both phones.

Any pointers to resolve this would be appreciated

Could it be related to Vodafone's problems (although some say it's solved now)?

Sorry no I don't see how it can be related to Vodafones problems, The LG is normally running on 2 degrees and the Samsung on Vodafone. When I tried both the 2 degrees and vodafone sim in the Samsung things worked perfectly when I tried both the SIMS  in the LG both the SIMS gave the same result of freezing. This was in Ngongotaha and were picking up 2 degrees network so I assumed part of it might be network optimization issues. However the same result has occurred in Auckland

What version Android do you have? and What browser?

Galaxy S II, Stock Browser, Stock ROM 2.3.5 on Telstra Clear, works
Galaxy S, Stock browser, Stock ROM 2.3.3 on 2Degrees, works

Are you able to try Skyfire browser?  and maybe update your Flash(if it allows you to?)

I had this problem with my galaxy S on 2degrees, trademe would never fully load up.

My SGS2 is ok though.

Trademe doesn't load on my Galaxy S2 using the stock browser.  Stock ROM (2.3.4), rooted, adblock running.  No problems when I use Opera, though.  I presume there's a script that doesn't agree with the stock browser.

if you have adfree or similar ad blocking app installed, trademe just wont load up on stock browser.

whitelisting ads.trademe.co.nz didnt fix it for me either.

samsung galaxy s2 2.3.x and Acer icona a500 on 3.x and 4.0.3

I have the same experience.. what I do to fix the problem is open ad free, select revert, then load trade me.

Once trade me has been loaded once with ads you can then disable ads again and it'll work until the browser cache is cleared.

it is the adfree host file 100% but you need to be rooted to fix it or just uninstall the app, there is a line in the host file that blocks trademe

Yes, this is exactly what I found was my cause of the problem.

which line is it? if your referring to ads.trademe.co.nz, removing it doesnt solve the loading issue with the site

Well you have another issue as well as that, you may have to do a wipe of cache and dalvik afterwards. But that line does stop trademe from loading, When i made my last ROM i had to remove it from the host file and it loaded fine. probably best to just uninstall the app
