I've been reading other threads and just want someone to confirm that you cannot use a brown sky card in a dreambox/linux box. I've got the configs in oscam and just about to play with the settings but before i spend hours on this I hope someone will prove me wrong, its an 01 card but it does not seem new.  Whats the crack with these blue card if they do not work?

AFIK the gold cards don't work, the blue ones do.

You could "lose" your card and when the tech brings a replacement ask for a blue one. Will cost for the replacement though, although you could then "find" your gold one and return it for a refund....

Alternatively, you could say that you want to use Component Video for output to your TV, which the Motorola boxes don't support.  They will upgrade you to the small silver decoder which usually has the Blue card.

Just been having a play with oscam and the card is identified and the signal is showing as nds.  I have a play and see how i get on.

If you have to run heating in winter, you don’t own enough computers.

Component is not the same as composite, it sits at the extremes of analogue video quality.  Only the small silver box has component out.

You can never have enough Volvos!
