Hi All,

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Scenario:

We have MiSky with 2 Multi room units at our residential house in Christchurch. All works fine. However, we have just purchased a batch in the Marlborough Sounds and would like to take one of the Mulit room units away when we holiday up there.

Problem:

We have just installed an old Sky Dish at our and hooked up the Mulit Room unit but we cannot seem to get full reception. At this stage the signal strength is into the green bar (at about mid 60’s) with the quality bar on the right up to about 3.8. We get some channels (as stated in the title) but nothing else. I changed from the old single LNB to a Dual Sharp 10.75Ghz (which is the same set up as back in Christchurch) but the result is exactly the same. Have spent ours moving the dish around to no sucessess.

A bit stumped at this stage? I see in other forums people talk about interference but the batch is a very simple box with no phone, internet etc.

My thinking is that it could be a bad connection I have made up when installing the cable? I have cleared most the trees out of the way so I don’t think there would be too much inference in that regard.

Thanks for your time,

Harry

SOunds like bad installation of the dish or the cable.
It might pay to get an installer out there (a freeview installer would be fine - it comes off the same satellite).
