Benoire: @RichardGNZ

Would you take it though? If this is you only subscription then I suppose it's not so bad but for me, that might be close to $30 for one sport, the same price I pay for an entire sport suite... I for one would have difficulty in justifying that sort of price. Obviously this is all speculation, but it concerns me that if higher bitrates where viable why are they not offering them now?

Would I pay $300 for HD streaming? Yes. Would I pay up to $500? Probably. I have SKY Sports and I pay extra for the HD ticket.

The issue here is we do not have the option.

Ellwood: Tried it this morning thanks to Tiger, and have to say it was just awful from my Point of view.. tried to watch the Sunderland game at 7:15 this morning, for at least 20 minutes I had the spinning circle while it loaded up, then it started and at best i got 15 seconds before 3-4 seconds of buffering. So 45 minutes after turning it on, i was struck on 4:37 of the game.. gave in and went in a big sulk.. :-(

(tried it in 4 screen mode, spinning circle as well.. 2 of the other 4 games played straight away tho)

the man utd, and arsenal games streamed fine with watchable tho not great quality so i'm pretty sure its not the internet connection thats at fault..

Had a similar experience - thought it must have been my relatively slow connection (4mps). The service has huge potential, but it's not happening for me at the moment.

Watched the Arsenal game on Sky. Was happy enough with the delay as I just did a few errands in the morning beforehand instead of after as I used to.

As I suspected it was about an hour of stuff before the actual game although the content of it was a bit disappointing. Sky mentioning build up and press conferences etc made me think there were going to be some of the pre-match press conferences and some pundits discussing the game but it was just some of the pre-season footage we had already seen and the away kit launch seen weeks ago. The game coverage was good and in HD. Thought the club's own commentators might be a bit poxy compared to Martin Tyler and the usual Premier League ones but they weren't too terrible. They were a bit boring to listen to and I'd much rather have Martin Tyler, but I had expected some thing close to a couple of guys discussing the game at the pub so it was better than that.

I'd also hoped we might get some post match interviews or Wenger's post match press conference but the end of the game was the end.

Another thing to note is that series linking it makes it record the other clubs aswell. I series linked Arsenal TV this afternoon to make sure I never forgot to set it if I wasn't able to watch when it screened and I noticed afterwards on my planner that it recorded MUTV aswell which I didn't want. I also note Spurs TV now on my planner. Wouldn't have mattered except it meant the final episode of a series I had been recording failed to record as it was on during the two this afternoon.

There was half an hour of content before the united game kicked off on sky. I only caught a little bit of it think it was an interview with RVP. then after the match they had some in studio comments and interviews with players plus moyes' press conference. about half an hour of stuff in total afterwards.

Would have liked some of that post-match stuff from the Arsenal game instead of the hour of stuff shown before the game. Although after that I'd probably have just called Wenger a "see you next Tuesday" instead and switched it off!

Well I'm guessing the 10,000 'tiger' free one day passes have all been taken as I can't sign up using it. Says the code is invalid for the type of subscription on all three types..

I watched the Villa/Arsenal game and the Swansea game along with some bits and pieces of others.
A lot better on the Mac than it was mirroring to the Apple TV but all in all, I was not disappointed.
As good as the old Sky feed prior to getting MySky, so I'm pretty happy.

You started out your argument as one who would never watch an inferior quality broadcast to Sky HD. You have openly stated that you wanted PLP to fail.

Now you seem to be saying you might be tempted and willing to pay more for live streaming if the quality were better, or am I mis-interpreting your comments. So you are right to say there is no option if you want live.

I wonder if Arsenals result might be tempering your resolve. I wonder if you might be a closet PLP supporter but too embarrassed to declare.

Imagine if you will, an end of season campaign where Spurs meet Arsenal for a decider for a Champions league place. I fancy you might just consider a day pas for that one.

Tim Martin says that the ipad app works well and they're just waiting for Apple to get around to putting it in the app store. Is there any reason why they couldn't have just put a direct download link on their website instead of waiting while Apple dither about?

I bought a pass earlier today, however my 2 brothers can't use the login at the same time, is there anyway we can all login using the pass? this is silly if they expect us to pay $450 a year.

You're gonna have to fork out $450 if you want to all watch at the same time. From the FAQ:

"Can I access my PremierLeaguePass subscription on more than one computer or device at the same time?

PremierLeaguePass only supports one concurrent log-in per subscription. You cant access your PremierLeaguePass subscription on more than one computer or device simultaneously, even if they're on the same network.

Sharing your PremierLeaguePass account information is prohibited."

SwansNZ: Ok, so normally, ALL games are available on-demand for 24 hours, and 6 or 7 of these for the week.

I guess that is ok.

I wonder how they will present a live game that you join after the start - there should be an option to play from the start or join the game live. I hope they don't muck this up, I plan to ge up about 5:30 Sunday to watch Swansea v Man Utd - I want to start from the beginning, not join live to see the Swans are 3 up already :)

Says they will be available for on-demand from kick off. I read that to mean that if you set your alarm and wake up after a short snooze but miss the beginning of the game you will be able to start from the beginning - if you so wish.

And all games will be available for on-demand up until the next round (not just 24 hours). So typically that will be a week or so, 2 weeks if there is an international weekend intervening and 2 or 3 days at Christmas and Easter.

As to those only being able to watch a game once, PLP have stated they will not enforce this. But I gotta ask who out there watches a game more than once. Thinking back over the years with SKY and always recording the live games I can't ever recall an instance where I re-watched a game. So who does?

Well, I was disappointed on both counts – logged on at 05:30, and the only option for the Swans v Man Utd game, was LIVE – selected that in the hope it would give me some sort of option to play the live game at the beginning or join it live – damn thing went straight to live, 50 minute mark and Swans 0-2 down – double :(

Quality was ok, not the usual Sky quality of course, but did not freeze at all.

The buttons to skip forward or back 10 seconds – would be better if they were 1 minute maybe.  Skipping half time was a pain, I might as well have waited!
