attewell: Is there a iPad app to go to with this? It do we just use browser ?

Wouldn't work on my iPad's browser, link to app (NZ store only):

https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/lightbox-nz/id893849629?mt=8

JarrodM:you should be able to get around the 90 day restriction if you have not yet "purchased" the app as I believe the restriction is on downloading already purchased content, not new content.

c
onfirmed, thanks!

Switch app stores to NZ, 'buy' free app, switch back, working :)

Looks like I will need to get onto an unlimited plan quickly, I watched 2 episodes of Parks and Rec (40 minutes) and I used almost 1Gb.

Thanks for the beta invite, guys. One question about it: perhaps I'd rather do the free trial when it's up & running & has all of its content. As beta testers, does this period count as our "free 30 day trial" ?

I just signed up, logged on and watched the first episode of "Louie" on my Arch linux laptop, under Firefox + Pipelight (a Silverlight WINE implementation).

Interface looks good. Content looks good (I can easily see a "Movies" tab in addition to the current "TV" and "Kids" tabs.

Could they actually pull this off before Netflix comes here.... ?

More thoughts in due course.

Just got on the trial, thank you GZ and Lightbox.

I sincerely hope being at least one season behind is just a beta thing and Lightbox aren't just flashing up a hit show on the home screen so people will subscribe and just buying the rights for the first season. That would be bad.

Think the beta is our trial actually, only reason I can see for taking my CC number and promising not to charge?

earlier Jacob said they're still "filling their shelves" as numerous people have mentioned, some seasons don't have all the episodes, and some episodes misnamed etc.

guess it's a BETA and we're the voluntary Guinea Pigs (as expected in a beta?)

Impressed!  I am impressed!

I can finally watch Breaking Bad legally.  And binge watch Top Gear, Boston Legal...

And wife can watch something else at the same time.

Good...

Thanks for your input. Just want to spell this out clearly:

Our current beta will end with us purging our entire database. To continue using the product after our full launch, you'll have to sign up again. That's not terribly convenient, but it does mean that you'll be eligible for the full free trial post launch.

Lightbox - we are online TV.

I just signed up for the trial. First impressions is that it's well done.

Coincidentally I had started to watch Warehouse 13 on Amazon and was intrigued to see it was on Lightbox also. But for some reason, season 1 only has episodes 1, 3, 6, 8 and 10 while on Amazon all of season one is available (as are all other seasons).  If it's licensing restrictions it's strange that only some episodes are available for the first season but most are available for others. But I just see Season 2 Ep 1 is missing.

Similarly The Blacklist Ep 1 is missing.

But one good thing - the video is not sped up as it is on broadcast TV.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

As they said in previous pages, the content is still being loaded as they buy rights for entire seasons, not episodes.

I've tried to create an account but it hung on the credit card page. Now when I try to open the beta page it just hangs. What should I do? Is this a known issue?

We've been watching Season 4 of Warehouse 13 for the past couple of hours. Running smoother under Chrome than IE11, but quite a bit of stutter. Showing promise though.

I find that the look of the emails you send isn't that great, it doesn't match that of the site. Probably the least important thing but I thought you might like to know.
