Milutiche: I just phoned 0800 4 SKY TV (0800 475 988) and asked what deals they were running
For $59.21/month I can get basic + sport + rugby channel + hd ticket with mysky+  free install and all of these features last for 12 months

Have you tried calling this number? That is the one I used last July to get the deal (although I got rialto instead of rugby channel for the same price)

Shoes2468:
bmt: I signed up for basic + Sky Sports + Sky Movies + HD, monthly price is supposed to be $59 (basic + 2 packages is $49 + $10 for HD), however they are only billing be $49.22 each month... Thought it might have been a mistake at first but its been 3 months. Yolo.

How did you get this deal? Was it a cold call or did you sign up?

Call the number in the third post in this thread.

Imagine they will call tomorrow to confirm order/install. Will query it then.

7 days with SKY I think - call them whether they call you or not, cancel the order and ring the telemarketers from this thread to get the better deal

Called the telemarketers 0800 number today, explained I had already put an order in online. She said she will sign me up again with her deals and then I need to cancel the other order with Sky myself.

So ended up with: Basic, MySky+ ,HD Ticket, Sports for about $60. Discounted price applies for 12 months but only a 6 month contract. Couldn't get the free Rugby channel that others had mentioned.

When I contacted SKY to arrange cancellation of web order they were pretty skeptical of what I got from the telemarketer, they said make sure you keep all the details, names and contact numbers until its actually connected. She said the best they could do was free sport for 2 months, she didn't believe me when I said I got it free for 12 months!

stocksp: I've just cancelled sky after having been with them since they started in NZ.  I just could not justify the costs, especially with all the other options around.

And I can't believe they still charge for a HD ticket!!

I feel free.

Off topic I know, but make sure you really want/need it ....

+1 for disbelief for charging extra for a HD ticket. Vote with your feet!

It's completely legit - I and many others on here can attest to it.

Just as a reference, I pay $58.06 for basic, MySKY+, HD ticket, Movies and Sport

The deal is legit. I just cancelled our Sky after 12 months of being on this deal as it reverts back to full price.

I just phoned them up again tonight and signed up under my wife's name, maiden, same deal as JEDENZED.

Nice! You got movies as well as sports for the same price I'm paying? $58~60 for 12 months on a 6 month contract?

Might check once I am connected and give them a ring If I don't have movies..

Mine runs until June or so. Did you have any stand down time or questions to answer regarding the new signup on the back of coming off the previous contract?

Yeah, pretty sure it was sport and movies as the two "premium channels" to chose from for that $59 deal.

I believe the stand down is 3 months.

I told her we cancelled our current Sky in December and the 30 days notice finished today, she wasn't phased by it as long as we didn't use any details relating to me.
