I have just seen there is a new watchespn app for New Zealand for iOS, unsure if there is an android version. Just happened to stumble upon it when it mentioned an app while logging in on sky to watch the fa cup this morning. It doesn't look like a native app, more just the website loaded in the app. It has AirPlay support and best of all it doesn't count as one of the skygo devices. And there is more content with a lot of college stuff on there. It has espn and espn2 streams, plus other events live streamed. Released quite quietly, I haven't seen it advertised

Cheers, android app works well watching the FA cup from this morning.

It was strange, I had to skip 1 hour into the stream for it to actually display anything but "your event is about to start"

(when I skipped it was at the start of the game)

Good PQ on my phone too. Don't see a chromecast option though.
