So before anyone suggests getting Sky to fix the issue we can't. Our MIL is coming over regularly to help with our little girl, she brought over her MySky and we discovered that the LNB had been removed. I thought "I know, I'll get one from Trade me...

I also go a bracket

And a signal thingy.

The seller told me that these would work for MySky but I can't get it going, the signal thingy shows a good signal, the LNB is getting power (the third one is as each time I disconnected the LNB from the signal thingy it rotated the connector on the LNB and the solder holding it on the circuit board broke)

So I have tried to change the LNB settings on the MySky box but still can't get signal to the box. Any one have any hints? Do I need a better LNB? Where would I get one from?

I see the neighbour has a dual one, do I need this type? Where can I get one from?

Get a sat tech to come out, check the alignment and set the LNB properly on this dish.

Decyphering the above, im unsure if your pointing it manually or not, that wont work.

Thanks @HSVHEL

I got the man out and in 10 minutes he confirmed the LNB was good, aligned the dish etc. and we have it all working.

Should have got them out before going through 3 x LNB's ($50.00) Satellite finder ($20.00) crimper/connectors ($35.00) bracket ($10.00) = $115.00

just to pay someone $150.00 to get it all going (would have been $180.00 if LNB needed replacing)

Lesson learned.
