I'm using the SkyGo app on a SkyStream Kodi box and get frequent disconnections, usually with a "your internet is too slow" or "your connection is too weak" error.

I can understand this happening with wifi as sometimes I noticed my speeds drop to 1-2 mb/s occasionally, but the strange thing is I get even more problems when connecting via ethernet (where I get speeds around 90mb/s).

Anyone know why this would be? It's the only app I use on the Kodi box at the moment, so I don't know if it's the app or the box. I get no such problems using the SkyGo website.

Normally I would blame either the box or your net - but that box you have claims full gigabit and ac wifi? Is this correct and verified?

Q: Does it stream say Netflix 4k OK - either over wifi or ethernet? As this would be one other way to test the box and your net?

As a comparison I have installed the SkyGo apk on my Shield and it streams sweet (over (vdsl) ethernet) - eg. no disconnects or issues watching the Warriors last night.  (Note: I grabbed the apk off apkpure - so maybe you should check that you have the latest?)

Anyway - not sure any of the above helps...so good luck!

PS: Alternative app worth trying is RedBox TV - it provides.....options :)
