I believe it is phones only, no tablets. This is in the FAQ's

If you have a Mobile Only Pass, the Fan Pass app will work on the following Apple and Android phones:

iPhone 5 or newer
Samsung S3 or newer and other select Andriod Phones
Maximum screen size: Mobile Phones up to 6’’

Would be good on my 12.9 iPad Pro, but no. $15 is a fair price. Or $30 you can have it on TV/phone/iPad. Or $55 you can have all sport channels, plus Sky channels on TV, phone and iPad

This is just bonkers,

What is the software checking to enforce this,

Also where can I get me one of these Andriod phones :)

I wonder up to what resolution this is? Might be easy to hack the stream and get it onto the bigscreen anyway.

Would 1080 pixel size on a 6 inch phone scale up well to a 50" TV? Be far easier to get FP $30, as you get the TV and tablet option as well

Where can I get fanpass for $30 per month? is that a special price or something? Sounds reasonable.

Spark offers it for that much under a 12 month contract.

$30pm available if you have or are friendly with someone who has  a spark broadband account (unlimited data) plan.

Sign-up via Spark and get billed $30 on the spark account each month.

Just checked the spark website and put in my address, $94.99 for the Spark unlimited data plan. I'm currently paying $69.98 from Vodafone. So no point really in moving just to get fanpass for $30 per month.

Where is FP $30?  I thought for a month it was $99 - or have they backed away from that?

Ahh, ignore me, I just saw the 2nd page replies and spark only.  Not quite apples for apples comparison is it.

Back to the topic, I think the $15.99 pm for mobile devices only is a pretty good deal. I may just purchase it at the end of the month when the Super Rugby continues.

I agree, but also think that it should be $30 for a TV (ie fan pass)...and not with a heavy subsidy and the requirement to subscribe for a year.

I don't seen how they can charge $16 for a mobile device and $99 for a tv.  It just doesn't compute.
