Sorry to sound like a broken record, but any progress on Neon for the Apple TV?

I have Netflix, Lightbox and Neon, but find the household hardly ever watch Neon. It's just a P in the A using Airplay or Chromecast compared to the Apple TV.

Fingers crossed for some progress, it's been a long time..

I second this.
I’m watching Neon at the moment, feels old school using AirPlay compared to an app.

Is Neon good?

Given the Sky love here........ I am serious

I have Sky, Lightbox, NF, Curiostystream. I'm ok paying for another if its worthwhile. Does Neon have an app where I can either watch it on the TV via ATV4, or the app on on one of our iPads?  The thread shows no ATV app which is strange as all NZ apps are ATV4 now. With an iPad Air 1 and iPad Pro 12.9 I'd like that option as well.

Agree. Airplay is ok, but these days anything OTA to TV has to be a last resort.

Is Neon good? Well I haven't really bothered to watch it. It comes as a freeby for a year from my ISP. I am not in charge of the TV, so if wife can't be bothered with casting her phone, doesn't happen...

My wife is right. Neon doesn't even work properly with Chromecast & a Windows 10 computer... Seriously poor supported hardware.

I have Neon and it's a good enough service, apart from the fact that the app isn't optimised for the iPhone X yet.

It's Sky Movies (light) and Soho rolled into one service for $20 a month and it's OK - but agree that the Airplay feature is a bit of a pain. Chromecasting isn't too bad though.

It's better then Sky on Demand, where download to decoder (I haven't used decoder download for 9 months, so don't know if it's improved)

Get better picture, to me better sound, don't hear clicking noises which could hear on Sky on Demand, though I think I'm the only one that hears those clicking noises, so probably not an issue for others.

If I had Sky on fully though, MySky recording better quality then Neon, 1080i picture and DD5.1 (Sky 5 stuff may be better on Neon, don't understand why that channel not HD), where I think Neon is 720p.

Chromecast is better  then airplay as can lock or do what like with phone, where Air Play have to keep applic open.

An Apple TV4 applic would be a lot better again, but under impression cost minimization is high priority with  service.

Content is good, only HBO program couldn't find was The Americans. DC stuff is there as well.

There was a thread from about 2 years ago stating "appleTV app is on the roadmap". Roadmap from where to where (Timbuktu?)

Typical slack ar$ed sky, minimal effort to protect their market, nothing more. Lack of apps, highest price, no 5.1, way to drive up customer satisfaction.....

Yes, it's good. It's my only subscription service at the moment. Favourite show at the moment is Succession. Love it.

interesting.... I'd say for content it is 1 - Netflix, 2 - Neon, 3 - Lightbox.  Neon needs an app on appleTV though.

Look at the Neon NZ Facebook page. Just about every second post is someone asking about an ATV app. Always the same canned response, "we're working on it."

The AirPlay implementation is terrible. You have to leave the app open on your device while you watch. Chromecast is better but still not ideal.

On the bright side, I do like the HBO shows they have and a TV-only subscription is $11.99.
