You aren't a Sky Subscriber, why do you care what they charge, what they are doing or how they are doing it? Surely you have better things to do? Or not. Go watch something on Netflix.

It's a discussion board and he's offering his opinion. Who are you to keep hectoring people on why and what they have opinions about?

To be fair, the hectoring is the other side. Its fine if people dont like Sky or subscribe to it, who cares. Its the fake news and BS that goes with it. I drive a Honda, I dont get up in arms when a Hyundai drives past. That happens here.

Bias is ok. But dont treat it like fact, thats all

Just from counting the number of posts, all that I see in this thread is one person repeatedly trying to shut down others with negative opinions of Sky, even if they have additional/interesting things to say. I don't particularly care about this topic but do find the selective morality rather deplorable.

Yes, I can understand that.

But..there is history.

Over recent years there have been many anti Sky threads, all spouting the same stuff. Factors such as profit, profit per subscriber, the costs of sport, the obvious fact that Sky are not rorting, and so on and so on get overblasted by tall poppy syndrome. Truth just gets in the way of a good rant. Its quite tiresome. I'm up for a debate, I put my opinions forward with what backup I can, not get angry, be as objective as I can, but to match that with the usual Sky bashing is crazy. Its not discussion. I get tired of it myself. As it happens, the grass isnt that green as seen tonight, ironically, in other posts.

In short, the comments you refer to are not in isolation. He is right, so am I. (Dont take that as me being arrogant, a solid discussion will always beat ranting) I'm happy to be wrong, this isnt one of those times.

Cheers

T

So yet again, nothing to contribute to the actual thread/topic, but come to attack another poster.

Par for the course.

The topic isn't an invitation to discuss the merits of Sky, simple announcing financial results and removal of a fee some found to be hard to swallow.

I am out. This is now basically two people mass spamming a thread to harass people whose opinion that they don't like out of it.

I wonder if you fail to see the irony of hectoring people who are apparently trying to shutdown peoples opinions whilst you do so yourself, all whilst contributing nothing to the topic at all.

Spamming? Well I thought I'd just hop in just to clarify the overall background thats all. To avoid a derail. Oh well, boo booed on two posts in two minutes.

It's only money, get it all, then you don't need to decide.

Did you call the 0800 Deals number?

hahaha I will tell my wife your suggestion, maybe by text. 😄

I will ring the 0800 when I have kinda made my decision, I don't want to waste their time.

For what it's worth, they do bundle a little differently and price differently so a call to confirm is worth while before deciding. I found with the deal it was marginal to have everything so I got everything. I think I pay $63 which will drop to $53 after HD Ticket is gone in April.

I wonder now with Sky giving free HD that they will make Sky Go stream in HD. Vodafone TV app has HD streaming for the channels that are in HD.

I can’t see it. It’s for phones and tablets. It’s going very well on my iPads. Another factor is if it’s too good just borrow a login and get it to the telly for free . Not ideal for revenue
