Hi All

 

 

 

V slow streaming from lightbox at the moment for some reason.  All shows are unwatchable with buffering every 30 secs or so.

 

A speedtest gets my normal 50 Mb/sec and the kodi based Vero 4k shows a video stream rate of around 5-9 Mb/sec so the internet link shouldn't be an issue.

 

I recently updated the widevine DRM to the newest version, and this could have something to do with it, but unsure how to troubleshoot that.

 

Ideas?

What kind of device? WiFi?

It's not quite clear form your initial post, what browser or client are you using? Have you tried from a desktop browser to eliminate network issues?

It's a Kodi based Vero 4K (running OSMC), cat6 cabling direct to router where all my movies are stored.  I can watch a 50Mb/sec 4K movie without interruption from there so I know the link is good.

 

 

 

Talkiet - good idea, that seems to be interruption free.  Laptop also connected to router with Cat6, but unable to verify the streaming bitrate.

 

 

 

Widevine CDM was just updated, after not being able to view lightbox at all.  I suspect maybe Matt Huismann's app for kodi might need to be updated? I dont know enough about this, but I did follow instructions to update widevine CDM which has been done successfully as I can now watch lightbox, albeit with these issues.

 

It certainly seems to be high level app streaming issue, i.e not a generic internet connectivity problem.

Right, so connectivity seems to be ok.

 

 

 

as a next step, have you tried using the native lightbox app to see if it indeed isnt just your kodi setup?
