Paying up front for 12 months now doesn't seem like such a flash plan.

*Doh*

If it makes you feel any better, you’re not the only one......I renewed my subscription for a further 12 months last Thursday.

Was then looking to be a full weekend of being a couch potato. How quickly things change. πŸ€”

Dont talk to me about last weekend. F1 YAY, ODI YAY, NRL Warriors. All gone

Is the 12 months sub a 12 month deal? Surely you can get that cancelled? Extraordinary situation require an extraordinary credit?? :-)

Email from Sky re sport. They will add more stuff as they can, let them know what you want. Thanks.

No $ benefit, so they must be ok with canceling it

I don't think that's what they said:

We’re doing everything in our power to bring as much sport as we can to you whilst also having sympathy for the position our sports partners are facing.
We thank you for your patience as we work through a very complex and fast-changing situation. We expect to have some more information and news around our sport offer for you in the next few days.

I think that means 'please don't cancel just now, we're desperately running around trying to work out what to do. We'll get back to you next week once we work out what product we might have to sell you, and how to get at least some money off you for it'

Sky are stalling, while scrambling to try and come up with something..

its simple, don't charge for Sky sports for the next X months, give those existing Sports customers ALL the packages as a bonus at no extra charge

Give everyone else sky sport pack as a freebee while the content is in its current poor state.

Skys run by a bunch of muppets... I wonder how many sky sports customers they can afford to loose

Some of you here are acting like this is all Skys fault. Remember it too has people behind the scenes that are just as lost in this whole thing as the rest of us. If you don't want Sky Sport, then call them and cancel it.

Sky have stopped charging pubs in the UK for sport, it's a major cost for them. Not sure anything has been announced for consumers yet.

Interesting, it looks like they are tailoring the offerings.
I used to have Entertainment, maybe @DjShadow used to have movies?

Email from Sky:  We've added Sky Movies to your package for 3 Months

Please enjoy your complimentary Sky Movies which will give you plenty of extra entertainment until the full range of live sport is back on screen. And there is still a ton of sport to watch, including a huge range of sports shows, memorable moments that thousands of New Zealanders have requested, documentaries and sport series, and more action sport from Red Bull, HBO, Vice Sports and ESPN.

So it seems different offers to different subscribers - probably dependent on which package you already had.
