Hey guys,

Wanting to get an extra decoder/mysky.  What I mean is I am not convinced which to get.  What costs are involved with having multi-room versus getting mysky and keeping the current decoder I have.

On the website for the month all Multi-room installations are free with a $25 a month charge.  For a mysky upgrade; ie. i have sky but up grade to mysky there is no price listed.  Nor is there a price stated for keeping the decoder.  Would it be $15 a month for mysky and $25 for the extra decoder?

Those in the know can you share your wealth!?  Failing that I will ring them and see what they have to say ;)

Correct. It would be an extra $15 per month for the rental of the mysky decoder. Plus $25 for multiroom if you kept your original decoder as well. If you have multiroom the HD ticket {normally $10} is free.

You dont need the HD ticket to get tv 1,2,3 in HD just so you know.

I currently have MySky HDI in the lounge (Only had to pay $49 to upgrade) and multi-room MySky in the bedroom which is great.
Has anyone managed to get a 2nd MySky HDI decoder as part of multiroom package to replace the standard MySky - if so - did Sky charge anything extra to upgrade to a 2nd HDI decoder?? e.g. Another $49 + tech fees?

We just have done the same as your proposing and ( American Express Rewards ) paid $599 to get the second HDi and the monthly payments stay exactly the same as before ( and we don't have to pay a HD ticket for the second HDi ) and there was no install fee. The other option was $99 install fee and another $15 a month plus the same multiroom monthly payment as before. In another thread here a dude got the second HDi for $49.95 all up - lucky guy.

Hi there,

I got the second MySky HDi in the bedroom (replacing original MySky) for a on-off $100 upgrade. As clevedon said, you only pay for the hd-ticket once per house (does not matter whether you have 1 or 2 decoders)
