Ok, instead of multiroom. Whats the best way t o split digital sky (black box version HD) and normal tv to the bedroom.
Run of about 10m.
Wish to tune one channel in bedroom to sky but still have the normal tv channels on the others etc.

Whats the best splitter for a budget?
Does the sky box have a coax out? - havent been home to look yet.
Best x-ray battery type option for remotes etc?

If you're meaning a MySkyHDi it has no RF output. If you wish to use RF distribution you'll have to buy an RF modulator. Sky sell these or you can buy one from Jaycar.

The simplest and easiest method is to use a video sender. The 5.8GHz ones aren't too bad but make sure you buy it from somewhere where you can return goods if it doesn't work in your environment.

Without hijacking this, I am currently looking at a similar issue. SKY HDi box in the lounge, wanting to share the output between lounge and bedroom.

I and planning on twin runs of Cat 5e between lounge and bedroom with powered HDMI baluns at either end.

So it it possible to find some sort of HDMI switching box which will pass the HDCP handshake and take 1 input to multiple (at least 2) outputs?

So to split the hdi signal whats the maximum length cable i could use? A straight run from where i want to go is about 10-12m.
Thats a hugely expensive cable.
RF modulation be the simplest run with a splitter for the main tv aerial?
