I've got my signal from my dish coming into my house then going into a 4 way splitter like this http://dicksmith.co.nz//product/L4221/two-way-f-connector-75-ohm-splitter (that's only got two outputs mine has 4 out's)

I use two of the 4 one to the lounge for Sky and the other to my bedroom for free view.

I've just changed the TV and now I get a jumping picture and rain fade a wee bit.

Why would this happen? would a two way output work better than my 4? is my signal just too weak?

A splitter like that is NOT rated for satellite L band signal between 950 and 2150 MHz.

More details. Who terminated the RG6 runs. Are they radial crimps, hex crimps, push on F types. What decoder provides power to LNB?? What AV cables, scart to component, composite to composite??? What brand of Freeview decoder???

I'm in a geek hehe

Terminated the RG6?
Radial, hex crimps, ? F types?
LNB is on the roof and has been since i got the house 6 years (pre freeview) - i now have MySKY and some cheap Freeview thing we don't use which i got from trademe

AV cables? there are different types?

It's HDMI from MySKY into main telly then output AV back into the other TV

Dish cable is split under the house and goes to MySKY and Freeview - unplug free view feed at either decoder end or under the house and we loose everything???

What he's asking is;

- Who installed the splitter?
- Who installed the Freeview
- etc
- etc

More info please

Also, I presume Sky came and installed the mysky box?

OK, so you are saying that DVB-S signal dies when RG6 (split DVB-S) run is disconnected from LNB IN on Freeview receiver??
