No. Everyone on startups probably got it. Wished people hadn't said anything cause now it will be canned, as i was enjoying poker hd on it.

Expect it'll be gone by next month, then i'll just watch replays on poker stars or something. Save $5 a month, though i'd happliy pay them $5 for channel, but that's not way sky works, it's all or nothing.

If I sign up to Sky on a 12month contract for the base package and then they change the base package line up. i.e. remove a channel does that give me the right to break the contract without penalty since they are no longer providing what I signed up for?

I doubt it, read the fine print. They don't charge you more when they add channels to the basic package do they? The pcakge isn't exactly "fluid" but the channels do come and go a bit.

Still, worth asking them I guess.

you are not alone.
They just gave everyone to try out the HD on June only for all the basic package users
I'm pretty sure it will be gone on 1st July as the letter had state clearly
"In July ESPN will move to our sport tier and will be available in High Definition"

Well it's gone now.
No more "free" ESPN on Basic. ouch! No "Free NBA or NFL"

You can make up for the loss by watching Japan TV for free, as long as you dont want it in Japanese - that costs extra.
