Guys, do you get a HDMI cable with My Sky HDi
Or do I have to go buy one?

Hi, there is not one in the box, but the installer should supply one as part of the install, the supplied one is 1.5 or 2m cannot remember.

the installer supplies a cable, or you can buy your own if you wish.

Lol. It's a digital signal. It either works or it doesn't, if works don't think there's difference in quality from using different cable.

No 3d, now, so don't need cable to support that standard from sky box.

Always had installer supply cable on my installs.

The installer supplied us with a HDMI cable even though at the time we didn't have an HD TV :)

Installer came, installed MySky HDi and (even though we do not have a HDTV) left a 2M HDMI cable.

You should not have to worry about needing a HDMI cable.

I can confirm 100% that both the HDi and the HDi+ come with an HDMI cable. They are black 1.8m (ish) packaged in the box with the decoder.

IME thats not entirely true. When I got MySky HDi installed, the installer hijacked my single HDMI port for it, removing my PS3 connection. I purchased a cheap HDMI switch from TradeMe, and the seller kindly threw in a free HDMI cable. I initially used the original HDMI cable (another cheapie purchased from TradeMe), but I found that every minute or so, the picture would flicker, and a visible line would be rendered across the TV for a fraction of a second. I replaced the HDMI cable with the one I got with the switch, and the problem hasn't occurred since.
