its not because of the way its broadcast, its of what it does to the LNB, it switches the single LNB into a different mode (vertical), and therefore you can't watch ALL the other (horizontal) channels at the same time... which basically, plain sucks.
I think you could have both H and V with a "dual" output LNB (one for each decoder or via a multiswitch to feed many decoders). That way either decoder can see anything without affecting each other. You would need to run two cables from the dish though.
