I want to take MySky to the Bach.

I tried in the past and it didn't work.

I've since read about changing the LO frequency.

I can't find this setting on MySky.

What's the story? Perhaps MySky is flash enough todo this itself??!!

Will it 'just work'?

Do I HAVE to have a phone line?

Thanks Cool

No need for a phone line and it should just work. You do have a proper satellite dish setup there right?

Sky charge a one off fee of $99 to have an installer set up your Bach for a decoder from your home. The bonus about paying this fee is that if anything goes wrong, they will actually service your decoder from your Bach for no charge.

The catch is you MUST return your decoder to your home at some point. Wink wink.

Dont need a phone line.

You might or might not need to change the LNB settings, depends if the LNB is the same at your bach as it is at home. If it is different, you need to go into the mysky installer menu (hidden) to change the LNB frequencies (LO etc). Below discusses the code to get into the installer menu, not sure if its current tho

Thanks everyone.

There is a dish there.  Dad has Freeview working through it via an STB.

Am I naieve to think that a dish that works for freeview will work for Sky? I fear maybe!

I have read the post on changing the LO Freq and tried it so will be equipped with that trick should I need it.

If a dish works for freeview it will work for sky and vice versa they both use the same satellite.
Some LMBs though work on different frequencies but if you are already using a STB there you should take a note of the settings on it and make sure the sky box reflects this.
