I just went to order a new Telecom R54 as one of my users has lost their phone only to be told that they're end of life and there are none in stock. Oh - and there is no replacement model yet! (Not for another couple of months at best)

Come on Telecom - this is not good enough! There is no other phones in your range that matches the robustness and waterproofing of the R54, so what am I meant to supply my warehouse and yard people now? Every other model of phone given to them was exceedingly lucky to ever see 12 month... usually mobiles only lasted 4 to 6 months before either getting wet, or getting smashed!

I'm told that there are no stocks of the Telecom R54 sitting anywhere in NZ. So what do I do now?

Anyone know of any similar phones on the market?
