That list is GSM bands.

 NOTE: Vodafone and 2 Degrees only, this model does not operate on WCDMA Band


To me it sounds like the person loading the ad/specs failed to mention WCDMA 850, as clearly these handsets do support WCDMA, just not the Telecom 850 MHz band.

WCDMA = UMTS

UMTS = WCDMA, i.e. not GSM.


Yes, I know UMTS = WCDMA folks. I read the GSM bands and UMTS bands and obviously missed the B5 there.
