The Herald site has changed. It looks better in some ways BUT I'm no longer able to pinch and zoom the pages. This is big fail.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I've tried it on Opera and the native browser on an E7 an N9 and an N8

Also I've noticed recently every time I access the Herald site I get asked for my location.

I've been getting the location question for a few weeks - PITA.

I also noticed last night that the site had changed - looks more like the app in some ways.

Hadn't noticed the inability to zoom, though.

My Gripe from this morning (on a HTC Win 7 phone) was that everytime I pushed the back button it just went back to the top of the article I was reading.

Needed to log off and on again to see the articles list. :-(

Yup, pinch to zoom is broken for me too (iOS 5.1.1). Back works.

I've always used mobile.nzherald. Nice and clean, and quick to load

The mobile.herald site is OK but no where as nice as the m.herald site.

I hope they get it sorted.

I sent some feedback via their main site.  Will see if they reply.

Sending the feedback wasn't that straight forward either.  The feedback link takes you the Help and Support page and not a feedback form like you might expect.  At first I thought the feedback link was broken and I was getting the Help and Support page by accident since it was listed on the Home page just above Feedback.  After two or three tries I noticed a link hidden in the text on the Help and Support page, this link takes you to a form.  Why the need for two steps to get to where you want to go. A bit random really.

I see the Stuff smartphone site doesn't pinch to zoom either, pretty handy function I would have thought for any smartphone site to have.  Their light site is zoomable, but it looks crap compared to the smartphone site.

I haven't received a reply to my feedback about the Herald's mobile website, however today I notice the mobile site now supports pinch to zoom again.  I guess they had plenty of feedback.

I'm not sure when the change happened as I've been avoiding using that site. It's good news to see they have acted to make the changes.
