can't really compare the S4 with the M8 and Z2 but even if you used the S5 I'd probably go with the M8 as the sony doesn't feel good in hand to me, maybe too used to sammy phones also sony don't have the dev following in XDA for me either.

The S5 is not enough for me to upgrade so bought the Gear 2 watch instead although hopefully the rumoured prime may live up to what peeps are saying if not I'll see what the Note 4 has.

The M8 is looking good with ext storage which is a no brainer to me. 

The Z2 looks nice and has a good screen in fact all 3 are worthy purchases. 

I think some look at Samsung as just being a big company, my how things change when Apple were top of the heap, that all said they still make a great product but if you don't like sammy there are now a lot of options.

Z2 is the most 'golden mean' of qualities for me amongst those phones. I'm holding out for the Note 4 though.
