Hi all,

I had a V3X with a PIN problem to fix for a family memeber. Did the research and flashed it. all OK. He didnt want it back as he has a new one so I'm left with a spare phone... What to do..

Went back to the site that had the tut on flashing and started to play... nothing to lose so started messing about with the hex edit thingy.. what features can i turn on... Came across "Talk Secure" which sounded interesting. Did a google but found very little information. Only thing I can find is a few comments on how it requires a second number and perhaps uses CSD connections at 9.6kbps. Checked the manuals but all it mentioned is an icon for "secure circut switched data call".

Anyone think that this feature could work on the vodafone network? dose it sound plausible?

Yes this does work on the vodafone nz network. Would you like me to go into more detail.

Yes please. Also is it just the fact that its creating a data call to hide a voice call that makes it secure?

It can not be used on prepay and both end of the calls need the bearer service B16 provisioned with data number attached.
