I have a 850MHz nokia 1100 here, but its got the tracfone software on it and the credit expired in 2005 anyway.

So, assuming its reflashed, thats one less quadband I will have to get to be running on telecom come november, but can it be reflashed with generic firmware?

And on a similar note, can a 900MHz one be reflashed to 850 or is there hardware differences between the 2?

Ok, well does anyone know of anyone that can do the 850Mhz one since the tracfone software has no network selection in it and an onscreen credit meter that clearly is never going to work on telecom.

I may be able to get my hands on a few other tracfone handsets, but I understand in 2006 or so they took steps against reflashing since people were buying them and reflashing to resell as a regular phone.
