Hello,

OK. So what are the coolest things you have done with EVDO?

This morning, I have a 2 way video chat via iChat AV with someone driving down the highway going 60 MPH. A picture and movie of this cool even is available at:

http://www.EVDOinfo.com/Tips/PC_5220/EVDO_iChat_2_Way_Video_at_60_MPH_2005031194/

Also did a regular 2 way video with the guy, before he went in his car. I was in my office on a T1, he was on EVDO in his office, here is the link:

http://www.evdoinfo.com/Tips/PC_5220/EVDO_iChat_2_Way_Video_Chat_2005030279/

So, what cool things have you done with EVDO?

Next week, I will be testing Vonage VOIP over EVDO...

I tried this on "woosh", worked very well until the signal got bad and the useless netwok cannot "handover" from cell-cell. obviously the latency is good.

I did a successful trial on videoconfrencing and vOip with 1RXTT. It surprised me back then.

Telecom have big plans for EVDO in 2007 approx when they can finally turn off AMPS (025) and free up the spectrum

Have Telecom actually got any closer to announcing an official shutdown date for the 025 network? I know it's been put back several times but is there something official yet?

You got a video conference over 1xRTT, how did you do that? I have not been able to. What was your FPS and what are the specifics.

025 will be shut down in 2007. This is based on keeping 025 running for 5 years after the launch of 027.
