What language options are available on the N900? Since it isn't using Symbian, does it contain worldwide languages like the iPhone?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

So far only selected languages. European, Russia a few Rich middle east countries (something Arab). I think it is still possible to get more language support in the updates :) it will have world languages when the next few updates or when it world wide release. which is still a big ?????????

Android has limited installation partition, which is 256MB of application space. And not very open as Maemo 5.

There will be apps porting to N900 in the next 3 to 6months and in 1year I believe there will be alot more than enough to use. eg. handwriting recognition, autofocus Video camera + stabiliser, etc... there already quite some apps in the testing Repository right now.

Extra-testing repo..
SNES app is taken out though cos of Nintendo threatening to sued NOKIA for copy right infringement lolz because NOKIA show a demo of the N900 with the emulator running a ROM without license lol

xlevus: With every passing day I wonder "Would I be better with an Android device?".

If only Nokia didn't balls up the N900 like they have.

This is exactly what I have in my mind... If it is still hard to get one by xmas, I am off with android device... I almost buy magic few weeks back...

The kick in the teeth is... I suspect Android will be ported to the N900 faster than Nokia can ship the devices.

So even if Maemo 5 licks gonads you'll be able to run Android on it anyway :D

Was really looking forward to the phone, but they took too long in my opinion. I ended up going with an Iphone 3GS. I'm sure the N900 will be great though.

I really hope the N900 does get heaps of good applications at a decent price as I find the availability of applications is what makes or breaks a phone's success, well, not entirely but would surely go a long way.

Dont worry bud. N900 will last a year without worrying. Nokia said they will only get one Maemo device out in 2010 before they working on the next maemo 6 lol. So they are planing to get Maemo 6 and new device by end of 2010
