Hey guys, I realise none of you have yet to receive your phone, but just wondering whether the N900 would use a lot more data when browsing the internet since it displays every webpage as if you were on your computer? And now that it even supports flash, it makes me wonder if I would need to up my internet plan? Any thoughts on the new browser? Thanks.

euanandrews: $999 for the N97...or $800 for a N900, what would you rather have?

That's what the Nokia N900 will cost me all up, after conversion and shipping, $800 NZ dollars, pretty sweet!

size is the biggest factor for me.. having a brick in my pocket is like...

That date is just Amazon being conservative...I too initially had that date until just today when it got changed to Dec 10th.

Your ETA/delivery date will change too I am sure.

Yes, that would be a correct assumption...

If that concerns you, you could install Opera Mini and in the settings you can make it default to mobile mode, thus lower bandwidth usage.

I placed my orders on Dec 4th, and I have a confirmed delivery date of Dec 10th.

Yeah...and he is charging $1250...we can get it $450 cheaper via importing ourselves.
Sounds like he is Drop Shipping too, 7-10 days postage so he can unlock the device, what a crock...he does not need that time to unlock it, it's already unlocked, he wants that time to import it direct from the supplier, he's Drop Shipping.

yeah clearly drop shipping. i've already complained about his listing. someone asked for the phone without the unlocking service and he says coz it's already in the process of being unlocked it'll still take 7-10 working days! just full of crap. hopefully trademe removes it soon as i feel sorry for anyone who gets suckered in by that guy.

Let me know if you want to buy it bulk load. I'll join your group.

You can use my account with Clearprotect.com and buy it. Just as long you don't forget me when its arrive.
