bigal_nz: Looks like N900 has no Nokia Maps, no Ovi maps and only a web based hack for GE - True or False?
It has Ovi Maps V1.0. It's basic but functional.

That does not sound good....

The N900 going flat should not make a difference....I have run my flat on many occasions....and mine is overclocked too....always works again, always recharges....

If you are still having no luck, you could always try a reflash.....hope you did a backup previously.....if not, well a flashed working phone is better than no phone at all I guess.

Well, I recieved my Nokia CP-408 case today, thanks to Scott...

First thoughts;
It's a very practical case, all buttons, camera, plugs etc are all accessable, which is far better than my old Nokia CP-321 case where you could not access anything.

Due to it being what appears to be leather stiched to hard cardboard, its quite ridgid, and this does add more size to the already large Nokia N900. Due to this fact,  I can't say it's really sexy...it gives a real book or box feel to the Nokia N900...where the Nokia CP-321 is about 3mm thiner and looks more sexy.

But all misgiveings regarding the size and looks of the Nokia CP-408 case can be forgiven when using the Nokia N900 in daily use...

The Nokia N900 is a power hungry, battery consuming device, and I am forever charging it, at home, in the car...so to be able to charge it without having to take it out of the case first, is a huge plus!

Then, there is the touch screen, and the pyshical qwerty keyboard...both are accessable and easily usable with the Nokia N900 still within this case...the keyboard easily slides up within the case grips...its a lovely fit and well design.

One benefit of having such a rigid case, is that the Nokia N900 now sits of its side edge quite easily, is nice and stable...which allows for using the Nokia N900 as a web cam...very nice!

Overall, I like it, as it is far more practical than my more basic but sexy CP-321 case.
I would recommend the CP-408 to anyone wanting a case for the Nokia N900.

Hmmmm....just noticed one thing missing....a hole to show the status light indicator.....should you miss a call, email, IM or whatever, ya wouldnt know without opening the case as ya cant see the flashing status light....

Need to cut/punch a small pen tip size hole....might have to do some modding!

If the led is not a must you could use callnotify to make a noise/visual/vibrate every few seconds or minutes and will only stop once message or call has been confirmed as read or checked. You just need to set this via the settings it installs the icon right at the bottom of the settings menu. Its a pretty handy little app.

Pixelpipe works perfect for me, been using it since day 1....
I upload to Twitter, Facebook and Ovi.

And a usefull tip, is that using Pixelpipe, you can get around the file size limits on Facebook...Pixelpipe allows any size file to be uploaded.

Out of curosity, have you logged into Pixelpipe and enabled the services?
And on the N900, have you got Pixelpipe as an option in Settings - Sharing Accounts?
And then when you go to share a file using the Share via Service, have you chosen Pixelpipe from the choices available where it says Account?

Yep, I did all of that, and it is showing pixelpipe in sharing accounts, I also forgot to mention one thing in my previous post, I did manged to upload a photo once to tweetphoto but after that i couldnt...

I think I prob should unistall it and reinstall it again then see how it goes...

Thanks for the quick reply

ok I uninstall and reinstall pixelpipe again and tried to upload the file, but nope got the same error, so this morning I uploaded a different file with a small size like 526kb that worked perfect, so I tried a different file(file size 985kb) that wasn't uploading, got the same error,

I thought its something to do with the file size with pixelpipe, I uploaded the 985kb size file to facebook using the facebook upload sharing plugin and it uploaded it fine.
