Hi All,

My N85 is using version 30.019. I have remote locking & lock if SIM changed enabled, purely because I hate having to enter a pin # every time my phone starts up.
I misplaced my phone, so I remote locked it and managed to recover my phone the next day. I enter the lock code and it unlocks, which is fine, however now when ever I turn it on I have to enter the lock code again to unlock it.

Does anybody have any solutions or wish to point me in the right direction so that I don't have to enter the lock code every time?

Attempts at fixing this so far: Turn off all security features. Result: No lock code needed on power up.
Turn off only remote locking. Result: No lock code needed on power up.
Turn off only 'lock if SIM changed'. Result: Code needed.

Thanks in advance!
Nick.

Hi Nick,

From experience, you must have a startup security code if you want to have Remote Locking enabled. I'm not sure of the reasoning or why it didn't activate for you to begin with, but it has always worked that way for me.

Cheers,
Nik

Hmm, that's a bit of a pain. Thanks for the answer.
I may have a go at resetting the phone to see if I can get back to the way it was then if that's the case, nothing to lose!
