I've been using the latest version of Ovi maps on my N95, however it is now no longer showing details of the streets unless online (over 3G or wireless).

Which is obviously annoying as the beauty of the original maps was that all the addresses were inbuilt. It's only done this since the upgrade to Ovi.

Which version of Ovi Maps are you using? Have you reloaded the map data?

Downloaded an update about an hour ago. Basically from the top of Auckland down to about Palmerston North is gone.

You'll need to reload the map data using Nokia Map Loader.

Yup - you've lost your actual maps - it then starts loading the pieces you need as you go - much like Google maps.

Download the NZ maps database again using map updater or whatever it's called and you'll be sweet. I had a similar experience recently.

Not normally, but I had to turn it on to load the maps.

However my original issue has been resolved. Had to download ovi, sign up for that, repeatedly check for updates, then it finally worked again.

The weird thing was, it only started after a recent update.

They've just started rolling out the new Maps, version 3.x.x now.
