Do you know why we are joking about boobies on this discussion?

If not let me know I will explain...

When the HTC Magic was launched in New Zealand, Vodafone organised a big party in Auckland. In that party they had some girls going around with "Google" logos painted over their naked bodies - with Google very conveniently located.

HTC Magic sales in New Zealand were suspended as soon as pictures hit the Internet (courtesy of our very Ben on his blog post http://www.ben.geek.nz/2009/07/learning-from-the-vodafone-htc-magic-debacle/).

Obviously Vodafone's Paul Brislen will deny it, but the rumours are that Google didn't give anyone the rights to paint "Google" over naked bodies.

Ben took the pictures down on request, but after some thought he put them up again.

A few days later the phone was on sale again. But on their website it was initially marketed as "HTC Magic with Google" and was back as "HTC Magic".

I deny that I will deny anything.

I deny that I wrote that.

n95: ? Excuse me for thinking members of a mobile forum might be interested. Thank god Damager is not a moderator on this site, no one would ever get to pass his 'Ultimate Geek' status (or even 20 posts!). I can see by all the other posts that it's only stimulating intellectual conversation here?

You shouldve introduced yourself first! Laughing

The Nexus N1.. interesting grab for Vodafone NZ. That may be my first foray into Android, though I'm hoping the HTC Bravo now renamed Desire makes it to these shores also. It has the sense UI over the Android 2.1 which is making me lean that way rather than the Nexus. Good feedback from the likes lchiu7 on GZ who was one of the first to bring the N1 here.

Okay back to the denials and more boobies.

Yes, I should have introduced myself first

I too would prefer the Desire with sense UI, but hey we may not see either yet...

I see Mr Brislen is not denying the xistence of Boobies.

By the same token he is also not confirming the existence of Boobies.

I for one love the idea of a Nexus one being available "officially'...it means most other smartphones will be a bit cheaper, in theory as they will become "old tech"...

I also love boobies.

Dude.. that months and months away!

If i had enough $$$ I'd get an N1 or HTC Desire until Windows 7 came along.

I'm hoping someone at XDA gets a windows 7 beta build soon and cooks a ROM that can run comfortably on a Touch Pro 2.

It would be better for Vodafone to bring in the desire than the nexus one.

The desire basically sorts out the issues that the nexus one had..
I ordered in a nexus one from the states and sold it 2 weeks later.  The touchscreen was fairly inaccurate compared to the iphone, the menu buttons at the bottom always get pressed accidentally when typing on the keyboard (bloody annoying) and of course the multitouch screen is pretty limited in what it can do.

The desire replaces the menu buttons with hardware ones, great move...
Has FM radio..
Has the sense UI which I am not really fussed on, prefer vanilla android..

Considering the moto shadow is going to be out in June (looking very nice but its heading to verizon.. so hope they put out a non cdma version) if so that will be my next phone....
htc incredible is also out soon

Vodafone need to get some their hands on them and or the desire..
Leave the nexus, its forums are plagued with issues... you can tell its googles first phone :P
