I need some help.
I can send PXTs to e mail addresses and other 021 phones from my V800 phone but not to my 027 6255 Nokia. I can send to other 027 phones .
Response from Vodafone is that not all 027 G3 phones will work but they dont have a list. I am not sure where to start but it did work earlier in the year but was discovered about two weeks ago as no longer working and I have been going around in circles ever since.
The v800 is an English phone with Vodafone live added .
The 6255 had software updated late last year.
Your help would be appreciated.

Hi there Geomax,

There are many factors at play here, including the fact that the V800 is potentially sending a photos in a format/size that the Nokia 6255 cannot handle. Also it should be noted that the connection between Voda and Telecom does have file size limits in place. Maybe try sending a picture in a lower resolution and see if that helps.

I will try to get hold of a v800 and see what I can see... though I'm a bit concerned about the fact your using a v800 that was sourced in the UK. Whilst Voda have the benefit of being able to use voice in lots of countries, their data services such as wap etc are not so eaisly roamed. You may find some services work fine and other either don't act as you would expect, or simply don't function at all.

I wouldn't lay blame on either network, or the devices without further investigation- though I am not aware of any Photo Messaging capable 027 devices that cannot recieve pxt... I'll do some digging.

An obvious question, can you send and recieve photo messages / pxt between other phones (inter / on the same network)?

Hi Felix,
from the V800 I can send to other 021 phones. I will retest to other 027 phones later today. Re the size..e mailed pictures seem to be resized to about 48k.
The V800 had a new NZ prepay SIM2 card plus the auto configuration installed and seems to work OK. The 6255 is my main phone. It has some minor bluetooth synch problems but otherwise works perfectly well. I am not aware of any other problems at all with it.

test PXT calls to a Pantec TX-130C (027) phone works fine. Calls to US cell phones are also OK. Dont Know anybody with a Nokia 6255 to try PXT calling. Do you? Cheers, George

Hi. much more testing .....eventually proved nothing wrong with V800 but something wrong receiving PXT from any network to my 027 Nokia  6255. 123 advice it was provisioned correctly and should send via Telecom shop for repair.
Today I was going to remove my 1GB card and restore to standard after one final try.
But progress.
Initially no message to sender and no PXT received.(prior to thursday)
On thursday...senders got unavailability message.
Today (saturday)...all working again.
Not sure why..I as sure as hell changed nothing ...
Any ideas?
