Hmmm this is real strange.

My VMC isn't working today... plug the Merlin in, run the VMC software, and said Merlin U630 not detected. It was working great yesterday, but no go today.

Just did a reinstall and will see what happen next. Does anyone experienced this before?

Also make sure you are using FW version 14.5

Here is a link to the latest software and FW

Yup. Latest software, the cd came with it wasn't running correctly on my system. and the firmware that it has was old one... So i got the version 7 and fw14.5 from Vodafone before my first installation (a month ago or so)

But today is the first time i have such problem. it is all fixed, just need to reinstall and work around getting the driver install correctly.

I did found out that, it will need to install two instances of standard PCMCIA modem (i don't know where, i just went ahead and ok them).

Then the system reported two multifunctioning card (Weird huh? 1-primary port, 2-secondary port (COM8)), then one last generic multifunction card (UMTS Parent).

After that, it is all go...

Was real bugger trying to find the drivers. So did a search for the word "Merlin" and found them in Program Files where Vodafone VMC is residing.
