I thought MMS is the same from all phones? But for some reason I can't receive MMS from a W700i to my 6600. Is there some kind of new MMS on these new phones? because my 6600 is 3 or 4 years old now

This makes it a IMPORT handset so you are on your own does not matter if stores sell them here its still a IMPORT

But my 6600 was bought from Dubai months before they were sold here, no problems with that

Does not matter they are IMPORT handsets

Check with the handset makers and make sure they have the latest firmware on both

to extend further on what johnr is saying, import handsets often use totally different settings to make anything other than voice or sms work.

even if the same model is sold and supported here, an imported example is often very different in the firmware/settings. vodafone NZ doesnt support setting these hamdsets up, as they didnt sell them (and dont make a profit from the handset, so dont want to dedicate support staff to the problem etc (and rightly so)).

someone with an imported phone who had the same trouble, and managed to fix it, may be able to help you out.

I've been looking around but I can't find where you compose PMs, where do I go? I'll let them know as soon as I can.

I'm sorry I can't do any phone stuff at the moment, please don't PM me with any requests.

Cheers.

The way you compose PM's is to click on the "email" icon. Rather confusing I know :)

I have special software (that requires a hardware dongle) along with special cables. The newer phones are quite hard to work with, I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself unless you like a challenge and the possability if you made a mistake of having to open your phone up and use a testboot to boot it again.

I'm not even sure if flashing the phone is going to fix whatever problem the phone has. Have you just tried the SonyEricsson Online Update service, there could well be a FW update that fixes the problem.
